What I use

Doing it at the lesson made a real difference. If there's a pattern, it's that the piano is always the last thing to cooperate.

  • A lamp, older than this website.
  • A book of scales, I nearly left it behind once.
  • A pencil, which I use every time.
  • A practice log, a present, and a good one.
  • A piano stool, bought second-hand and still going.
  • A tuning hammer, the thing I'd replace first if it broke.
  • A metronome, more useful than it looks.
